Chief Executive OfficerBen has more than 25 years of experience in the property and construction industry, 10 years of which having been spent living and working abroad in Singapore and London. He has a career foundation in Project Management and Construction, and during a 20-year career with Lendlease, has held executive and business leadership roles across construction, property development, PPP, Civil Engineering and major integrated projects in Australia, Asia and the UK and Europe.With a strong track record of driving project and business performance, Ben has a deep interest in the fundamentals that drive property risk and value. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science from QUT, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from FINSIA and an MBA from the AGSM.
Chief Financial OfficerMark joined Watpac as the Group’s General Manager Finance in 2010 and was promoted to the role of Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary in 2011. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Ariadne Australia Limited for more than two years. Mark has a substantial background in assurance, having worked in this field at both Ernst and Young and Arthur Anderson, and has been involved in a number of complex domestic and international corporate transactions. He has significant experience in the areas of financial due diligence, transaction structuring and corporate governance. Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and a certified member of the Finance and Treasury Association of Australia.
Chief Operating OfficerAfter working for 20 years for BESIX in the Middle East, Jean-Pol Bouharmont joined Watpac as the Chief Operating Officer at the start of 2019. Amongst his responsibilities, which include the global operations management, Jean-Pol acts as a special link to foster the alignment between Watpac and BESIX Group. With an outstanding track record in leading complex projects across expertise and borders, Jean-Pol assists Watpac in accessing new markets, introducing new skills and competencies, notably in the engineering and design fields, and enhancing the company’s operational excellence. Prior to joining Watpac, Jean-Pol was a key member of BESIX's Middle East Executive Team where he was holding a similar position and made a significant contribution to their operations in the region, leading the operations on such iconic projects like Burj Khalifa Tower, Dubai Canal, Dubai Tramway, Royal Atlantis The Palm Development, Warner Bros and Ferrari Themes parks, Masdar Development, Cleveland Clinic Hospital, Emirates Palace, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, ADNOC Headquarters, Khalifa and Wakra Stadiums, Doha Convention Centre, Doha Airport, and on many infrastructure works like power & desalination plants, harbours, bridges and tunnels. Jean-Pol had previously worked for 10 years in Belgium mainly on major infrastructure projects. Jean-Pol is a Civil Engineer from UCL with an MBA from KUL in Belgium.
Chief People OfficerAngela has more than 17 years’ experience in human resources and industrial relations, with a particular flair for change and growth management within large, publicly listed organisations. Prior to joining Watpac in 2005, Angela worked in senior human resources roles at a number of national and international organisations in the defence, government, aerospace, intelligence and insurance/assistance industries. As Chief People Officer, Angela is responsible for all strategic and operational human resources, industrial relations, learning and development and payroll functions for Watpac. Angela holds a Bachelor of Business in Human Resources and Management, postgraduate qualifications in Strategic Leadership, and is a graduate of the Defence Industry Study Course.
