Watpac will deliver a number of projects as part of the Herston Quarter redevelopment within the Herston Health Precinct in Brisbane, including construction of the new Specialist Rehabilitation and Ambulatory Care Centre (SRACC) for Metro North Hospital and Health Service.
The SRACC building will provide 35,157 square metres of facilities comprising 100 rehabilitation beds, special purpose rehabilitation support areas, and a surgical and endoscopic centre with a 32 bed surgical inpatient room, seven operating theatres, three endoscopy rooms and recovery spaces. It will also feature a Sky Bridge Link to the adjacent Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Additionally, Watpac will deliver the Spanish Steps – which will extend from Herston Road into the main public realm, dedicated car parks underneath the SRACC and the Spanish Steps, major infrastructure upgrade works and associated road upgrades.
