Watpac will build two new future-focused schools in Parramatta – Arthur Phillip High School and Parramatta Public School – enhancing the education offering in Parramatta, New South Wales.
The project will provide a new high-rise high school for Arthur Phillip High School accommodating up to 2,000 students and a new multi-storey 1,000 student facility for Parramatta Public School on the existing school sites.
The first of its kind for the NSW Government, the project presents a unique opportunity to construct schools in the heart of the Parramatta CBD and will be a showcase for the delivery of multi-storey education facilities in response to metropolitan Sydney's increasing residential density.
The scope of works will include demolition of the
existing schools, upgrade of the existing heritage buildings on each site and
landscaping of a rooftop garden area for Parramatta Public School and sports
fields for Arthur Phillip High School.
