Salary Packaging program
All permanent salaried staff can participate in our Salary Packaging program. Salary packaging can offer significant salary benefits by reducing your taxable income. Our Salary Packaging program provides employees with the option to salary sacrifice a number of different items as part of their total remuneration package including related electronic equipment, professional memberships, superannuation, and novated leases. To ensure you maximise the benefit of salary packaging, we advise all employees to seek financial advice before entering into packaging arrangements.

Young Professionals Program
Watpac’s Young Professionals Program (YPP) provides a solid foundation for cadets and graduates to learn about themselves, their team and our organisation.
The program is delivered nationally and brings together graduates from across Australia who can benefit from networking with each other and our senior management team. YPP offers on-going training, support and a wide range of development opportunities incorporating technical, professional and personal competencies. Support and coaching is also provided in the form of a supervisor and an appointed mentor, facilitated by a senior manager in the organisation.

Watpac undertakes an incredibly diverse portfolio of work Australia-wide, with offices in Brisbane, Townsville, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. Skilled Migration Program
Entering Australia under the Skilled Migration Program allows you to explore a range of visa options. The program is open to a person who is not sponsored by an employer, but who has skills in particular occupations required in Australia. Applicants must be over 18 and under 45 years of age, with good English language skills, and recent skilled work experience or a recently completed eligible Australian qualification.
Some of Watpac’s core operational roles are recognised by the Australian Government’s Skilled Occupation List include Construction Project Managers, Engineering Managers, Mining Production Managers, Project Builder, and Engineers (including Mining, Mechanical, Civil, and Building). Please note this list does change regularly.

Employer sponsored workers
Watpac may choose to sponsor your stay in Australia if you have the right qualifications, skills and/or experience, and if you are the right ‘fit’ for our company culture. You may be offered temporary or permanent visas, depending on your particular occupation and your background. A temporary visa allows you to work in Australia for up to four years, and you can bring any eligible secondary applicants with you to Australia to work or study. If you are granted a temporary visa, this may create a pathway to a permanent visa in the future.
Permanent visas allow applicants and their dependent family members to live as permanent residents in Australia. You may then also be eligible for Australian citizenship.
As with the Skilled Migration Program, your occupation must be recognised by the Australian Government’s Skilled Occupation List.
