  • Jean-Pol Bouharmont

    Chief Executive Officer

    Jean-Pol is a construction industry leader with more than 30 years of global experience. He was appointed as CEO in October 2019 and has been instrumental in delivering iconic projects and strategies for BESIX Group in Europe and the Middle East.With a strong track record in complex structures and projects, Jean-Pol oversees implementation of Watpac’s strategy to unlock new opportunities and combine its local strength with BESIX Group’s global capabilities including design and value engineering.Jean-Pol was previously a senior executive for BESIX in the Middle East for two decades, where he delivered significant achievements in innovative and iconic projects. This includes construction projects such as Burj Khalifa Tower, Masdar carbon neutral city, Cleveland Clinic, Doha Convention Centre, Doha Airport Terminal and Aprons, Khalifa and Wakra Stadiums. Engineering projects include the Dubai Canal, Dubai Tramway, multiple major power and desalination plants, sewerage collection and treatment plants, marine facilities, bridges and tunnels.His portfolio also includes ten years in Europe where he mainly worked on major infrastructure projects, cable-stayed bridges and Liege Central Place complete rejuvenation. Jean-Pol is a Civil Engineer from UCL and has an MBA from Boston University.
  • Mark Baker

    Chief Financial Officer

    Mr Baker is the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, having joined Watpac in March 2010. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Ariadne Australia Limited. Mr Baker has a background in assurance and has been involved in a number of complex domestic and international corporate transactions. He has significant experience in the areas of strategy development and execution, financial due diligence, transaction structuring and corporate governance. Mr Baker has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts, and has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance. Mr Baker is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and is a certified Senior Member of the Finance and Treasury Association of Australia. 
  • Angela Liebke

    Chief People Officer

    Angela has more than 17 years’ experience in human resources and industrial relations, with a particular flair for change and growth management within large, publicly listed organisations. Prior to joining Watpac in 2005, Angela worked in senior human resources roles at a number of national and international organisations in the defence, government, aerospace, intelligence and insurance/assistance industries. As Chief People Officer, Angela is responsible for all strategic and operational human resources, industrial relations, learning and development and payroll functions for Watpac. Angela holds a Bachelor of Business in Human Resources and Management, postgraduate qualifications in Strategic Leadership, and is a graduate of the Defence Industry Study Course.
  • Mary Jane (MJ) Bellotti

    Chief Development Officer

    MJ brings more than 25 years of executive experience to her role as Chief Development Officer at Watpac. She joined Watpac from Suncorp Group where she spent five years as Executive General Manager of Corporate Affairs. Her career experience includes senior roles with some of Australia’s largest and most successful companies across the finance, construction, mining services and manufacturing sectors including Suncorp, Thiess, Laing O’Rourke, Barclay Mowlem and James Hardie. MJ’s strategic thinking is complemented by an energetic, creative and approachable style as she strives to build high-profile brands that clients want to work with, and employees want to work for. She is passionate about growing businesses, building relationships, enhancing brands, and driving positive change that delivers tangible results. MJ studied International Marketing at Stanford University, completed an MBA from the University of Queensland and is a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is an Industry Fellow and guest lecturer at the University of Queensland and a director of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
  • Drew Brockhurst

    General Manager, Queensland and Northern Territory

    Drew has almost 30 years’ experience in construction throughout Australia, the Middle East and India. Prior to his appointment as General Manager, Queensland and Northern Territory, Drew led Watpac’s Queensland team as State Manager for six years, delivering consistent and profitable growth. His background in civil engineering, strong leadership ability and experience leading complex construction projects is helping expand Watpac’s Queensland business into new strategic areas. Drew joined Watpac in 2012 after holding senior positions with large contracting companies including St Hilliers Construction, Leighton Group and Multiplex. Drew is part of the Watpac Group Leadership Team and reports directly to the CEO.  With a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the Queensland University of Technology and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, he continues to represent the construction industry as a member of the board of Queensland Master Builders Association.
  • Simon Ballard

    General Manager, Victoria and South Australia

    Simon has more than 25 years of construction and engineering leadership and delivery experience with Australia’s leading contractors, including some of the country’s largest projects. Prior to joining Watpac, Simon was General Manager for CPB Contractor's South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania region where he led the delivery of a diverse portfolio including high profile, high pressure greenfield and brownfield projects. Prior to CPB, Simon was a Construction Manager at Thiess. From improved safety results and team performance to meeting client expectations despite challenging operating environments, Simon has a strong list of career achievements. He is passionate about Australia’s market opportunities and developing capable and motivated teams, with a focus on strong technical direction, collaboration and efficiency. Simon has a focus on realising the vision of his clients and working towards common goals alongside staff, clients, delivery partners and supply chains. He holds a Bachelor of Construction Management (Building) from RMIT. 
  • Peter Furlong


    Peter joined Watpac in June 2020 as General Manager for New South Wales. Bringing over 25 years of industry experience including senior management positions with both Watpac and Lendlease, Peter has delivered major projects, urban renewals and programs for Australia’s leading contractors most recently as Lendlease's NSW Operations Manager and Construction Director. At Lendlease, Peter led the AUD$1.4 billion Darling Square urban regeneration and led the construction, delivery and risk reviews for major bids including Victoria Cross Metro and Over- Station-Development, Over-Station Harbour Residential Towers feasibility along with other significant projects such as Cessnock Correctional Centre (rapid build). Peter returns to Watpac after a previous seven-year tenure as Construction Manager and Operations Manager, overseeing key New South Wales projects in health, science, secure facilities and commercial sectors, including the final stages of the award-winning One Central Park project. Peter has a Bachelor of Building Construction Management from the University of Technology Sydney.
