Chief Executive OfficerJean-Pol is a construction industry leader with more than 30 years of global experience. He was appointed as CEO in October 2019 and has been instrumental in delivering iconic projects and strategies for BESIX Group in Europe and the Middle East.With a strong track record in complex structures and projects, Jean-Pol oversees implementation of Watpac’s strategy to unlock new opportunities and combine its local strength with BESIX Group’s global capabilities including design and value engineering.Jean-Pol was previously a senior executive for BESIX in the Middle East for two decades, where he delivered significant achievements in innovative and iconic projects. This includes construction projects such as Burj Khalifa Tower, Masdar carbon neutral city, Cleveland Clinic, Doha Convention Centre, Doha Airport Terminal and Aprons, Khalifa and Wakra Stadiums. Engineering projects include the Dubai Canal, Dubai Tramway, multiple major power and desalination plants, sewerage collection and treatment plants, marine facilities, bridges and tunnels.His portfolio also includes ten years in Europe where he mainly worked on major infrastructure projects, cable-stayed bridges and Liege Central Place complete rejuvenation. Jean-Pol is a Civil Engineer from UCL and has an MBA from Boston University.
Chief Financial OfficerMr Baker is the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, having joined Watpac in March 2010. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Ariadne Australia Limited. Mr Baker has a background in assurance and has been involved in a number of complex domestic and international corporate transactions. He has significant experience in the areas of strategy development and execution, financial due diligence, transaction structuring and corporate governance. Mr Baker has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts, and has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance. Mr Baker is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and is a certified Senior Member of the Finance and Treasury Association of Australia.
Chief People OfficerAngela has more than 17 years’ experience in human resources and industrial relations, with a particular flair for change and growth management within large, publicly listed organisations. Prior to joining Watpac in 2005, Angela worked in senior human resources roles at a number of national and international organisations in the defence, government, aerospace, intelligence and insurance/assistance industries. As Chief People Officer, Angela is responsible for all strategic and operational human resources, industrial relations, learning and development and payroll functions for Watpac. Angela holds a Bachelor of Business in Human Resources and Management, postgraduate qualifications in Strategic Leadership, and is a graduate of the Defence Industry Study Course.
Mary Jane (MJ) Bellotti
Chief Development OfficerMJ brings more than 25 years of executive experience to her role as Chief Development Officer at Watpac. She joined Watpac from Suncorp Group where she spent five years as Executive General Manager of Corporate Affairs. Her career experience includes senior roles with some of Australia’s largest and most successful companies across the finance, construction, mining services and manufacturing sectors including Suncorp, Thiess, Laing O’Rourke, Barclay Mowlem and James Hardie. MJ’s strategic thinking is complemented by an energetic, creative and approachable style as she strives to build high-profile brands that clients want to work with, and employees want to work for. She is passionate about growing businesses, building relationships, enhancing brands, and driving positive change that delivers tangible results. MJ studied International Marketing at Stanford University, completed an MBA from the University of Queensland and is a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is an Industry Fellow and guest lecturer at the University of Queensland and a director of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
